Accommodation/Transportation
The Festival Prelude in Richmond is easily accessible by car from Hobart (30 mins), and there are a wide range of accommodation options in Richmond and Hobart.
The Keynote Festival takes place mostly in central Hobart and Battery Point, with accommodation ranging from luxury hotels to B & Bs. We are happy to provide suggestions if requested.
The first days take place in venues within easy distance, or else a short taxi ride. The festival finale in the Huon Valley is a 40-minute drive from Hobart.
Return coach travel from Hobart to the final concert and lunch venues in the Huon valley is available for a small extra charge. Please purchase this when booking festival passes.
Dress
Weather condition in southern Tasmania can fluctuate widely in late Spring, so we suggest for those travelling from elsewhere to be prepared for abrupt changes in temperature and conditions at any time.
Dining
There will be a stand-up cold buffet lunch served from midday on Sat 25 October for all pass-holders to the Festival Prelude. The venue will be the Richmond Town Hall.
At the conclusion of the Keynote Festival on Sunday 2 November there will be a seated three course lunch with wine served, and a reception with canapés, wine and other drinks on the previous evening. (Please look at detailed program for timings and locations).
We will send out lists of suggested dining venues in the weeks before festival commencement with the usual counsel that reservations are always recommended.
